Woman Veteran Calendar on San Antonio Living!

We are a grassroots nonprofit organization based in San Antonio, Texas.

Our mission is to raise awareness for Woman Veterans, give back to organizations supporting Woman Veterans, and inspire the next generation of Woman service-members.

Our story all began with an idea: Increase visibility of Women in the Armed Forces.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, less than 10% of military members are women.

According to the Department of Veterans Affairs, over 50% of eligible Woman Veterans are not receiving the VA benefits they’re entitled to.

Through our calendar project, we raise awareness for Woman Veterans and non-profit organizations that can assist them. We also hope to inspire the next generation of Woman Veterans by showing them that "Women Serve Too!'“

Women Serve Too!

Women Serve Too!

Our WHY:

The Woman Veteran Calendar was established by a group of Woman Veterans who felt displaced after our time in the military. We felt out of place in larger veteran groups, trying to reintegrate into civilian life, and even with our family who is proud of our service but may not relate. Combine that with the fact that most people assume a woman who says she was in the military, she must mean she was a dependent and not the service member...it can do a number on our mental health!

Embarking on this project, we learned that tragically, the fastest-growing demographic in suicide rates is Woman Veterans. We learned there are small nonprofit organizations all over the country, who are dedicated to giving Woman Veterans a community, resilience activities, and a safe space. We knew immediately we wanted to give 100% of our Calendar proceeds to these fellow nonprofits. Last year, we gave $2000 to organizations in four states, helping hundreds of Woman Veterans.
